Striped glass vases are crafted by putting a layer of thinning stretched heated glass on top of a hot glass object, then twisting and turning the object to achieve the intended overall design. Based on the speed of turning and the technique you can change the direction of the stripes and spacing between them making patterns from spirals to parallel lines.
